1. Our Commitment

We believe in providing an equal service to all users and invest ongoing effort to make the Siddur Hayom website accessible to people with disabilities, in accordance with the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law (1998) and its Accessibility of Service Regulations (2013).

2. Conformance Level

The website was built to conform with the Israeli Standard for web content accessibility (IS 5568) at level AA, which is based on the international WCAG 2.0 guidelines.

3. What Has Been Done

  • Semantic, well-structured markup suited for screen readers.
  • Full keyboard navigation (Tab key) with a clear focus indicator.
  • A "skip to content" link that bypasses the navigation menu.
  • Alternative text (alt) for meaningful images.
  • Standard-compliant color contrast between text and background.
  • Full right-to-left (Hebrew) support and resizable text.
  • A dedicated accessibility tool (the button in the corner of the screen) that allows: increasing and decreasing text size, a high-contrast mode, link highlighting and stopping animations.

4. Known Limitations

Some content relies on third-party services (such as external fonts and links to the app stores and donation services) that are not fully under our control. We continuously work to improve the website's accessibility. If you encounter a component that is not accessible, please let us know and we will address it.
